Constangy is pleased to announce that Brent Sedge and Lisa Xu have joined the firm, further strengthening its services in the areas of cybersecurity and employment law.
Brent joins the Constangy Cyber Team, based in Dallas. Brent brings a wealth of experience in defending clients against complex litigation arising from data security incidents, including class action lawsuits. He also advises clients on compliance with data privacy regulations, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and holds dual certifications as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). With years of experience in navigating the evolving landscape of data privacy law, Brent is a valuable addition to Constangy’s national cyber litigation team. Brent earned his J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of North Texas. He is a licensed attorney in Texas and has been admitted to practice in Texas state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Brent also served in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, earning the rank of Sergeant.
Lisa, based in our San Diego office, represents employers in a wide range of workplace law matters. She focuses on defending clients in litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. In addition to her litigation experience, Lisa provides proactive counsel on workplace policies and compliance to help employers mitigate risks and avoid legal challenges. Prior to joining Constangy, Lisa practiced at an AM Law 100 firm, gaining extensive experience in handling complex employment matters, as well as cases involving products liability and insurance coverage. Lisa earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as articles editor for the San Diego Law Review. She also holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
