Overview

Eric counsels and represents management-side clients on a wide range of employment matters. Whether it is a one-off question that needs immediate attention or a lawsuit seeking a large sum in damages, Eric quickly aligns clients’ aims and business needs with solution-driven strategies.

Eric has assisted clients in many industries, including those in the energy, financial services, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, retail, technology, and transportation and logistics sectors. He also has advised and represented PEOs and their clients regarding employment-related issues.

Eric has represented clients in state and federal courts, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution settings, such as mediation. He has worked on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblower claims. He also has worked on single plaintiff and class and collective wage and hour matters, including those involving misclassification issues, unpaid wages, retaliation, and noncompliant notices and statements required under state law. Eric’s practice also includes restrictive covenant work, and he has successfully helped clients restrain their former employees from competing unfairly, soliciting current employees, and misusing confidential information, including trade secrets.

Aside from litigating, Eric has assisted clients with employment law compliance issues, risk mitigation efforts, and drafting employment-related documents. Eric has counseled clients on employee leaves, separations, and accommodations, as well as wage and hour issues, among others. Eric also has experience in assisting clients with drafting offer letters, commission plans, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks, employment agreements, and independent contractor agreements.

Before joining Constangy, Eric was an employment attorney at two Am Law 200 firms and an Associate at a national litigation boutique. He was a litigation Legal Assistant at a prominent international law firm prior to attending law school.
