Constangy is pleased to announce Patrice Dixon and Monica Towle have joined the firm’s Boston office as associates.
Patrice focuses her practice on labor and employment law. She offers a broad range of services, from strategic advice on traditional labor issues such as collective bargaining, contract management, and handling disputes over representation and unfair labor practices to employment law matters, including discipline and termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and leave management policies. Patrice is skilled at implementing preventative legal strategies, conducting internal investigations, and providing compliance training to help employers mitigate risks. Patrice adeptly represents organizations in administrative proceedings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Beyond her legal practice, Patrice actively contributes to the legal community. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and is the Immediate Past President of the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys. In 2022, the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly honored Patrice as an "Up & Coming Lawyer." Patrice was also chosen as a 2021-2022 Leadership Academy Fellow by the Massachusetts Bar Association and a 2020-2021 member of the Public Interest Leadership Program by the Boston Bar Association.
Monica is an employment litigation attorney who represents employers across various industries in administrative proceedings, state and federal court actions, arbitrations, and mediations. She handles claims involving harassment, retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, putative class actions, and other employment-related matters. In addition to handling legal proceedings, Monica also counsels her clients on employment and labor-related issues. Monica's client-oriented and results-driven approach is evident in her diligent efforts to understand each client's specific needs, mitigate risk exposure, and provide strategic advice and dedicated advocacy. She excels in all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial. Her expertise in both written and oral advocacy has resulted in successful dismissals, summary judgments, and favorable verdicts in several jury trials. Passionate about trial and appellate advocacy, Monica was an active member of the Moot Court Bar and Mock Trial Bar during her time at the University of South Carolina School of Law. As an alumni coach, she helped future attorneys develop practical skills and gain valuable experiences. Monica regularly volunteers as a judge for trial competitions, staying connected to the legal community and fostering the development of upcoming legal professionals. Monica has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® "Ones to Watch" for Commercial Litigation (2023-2024) and Columbia Business Monthly's Legal Elite of the Midlands for Insurance (2020).
