Constangy is proud to announce Kristine Sims has been honored as an “Outstanding Woman in Business” by the Triad Business Journal for 2024. This prestigious award celebrates female business leaders who exemplify excellence through their professional accomplishments and philanthropic endeavors within the Triad community. Winners will be recognized at a ceremony on April 25.

“Kristine's dedication to the legal field and her unwavering commitment to her local community have left an indelible mark,” said Neil Wasser, chair of Constangy’s executive committee. “Her tireless efforts on behalf of colleagues and clients alike underscore her exceptional character and we are thrilled she’s received this recognition for her efforts.”

Sims is the head of the Winston-Salem office with experience involving every aspect of the employment relationship. She has been involved in complex litigation involving class action issues, the FLSA, all aspects of Title VII, retaliatory discharge, and state law claims for breach of contract, fraud, negligence, infliction of emotional distress, and covenants not to compete. In addition to her employment litigation practice, Sims has significant experience in affirmative action compliance including affirmative action plan training, preparation, and compliance review defense at the desk audit and on-site stages.

Sims has been recognized for her work on behalf of clients by numerous industry publications, including The Best Lawyers in America® (2022-2024), Chambers USA (2017-2018), and North Carolina Super Lawyers® (2017-2024). She has also received several community awards, including the Triad Business Journal’s “40 Business Leaders Under 40” (2011) and the YWCA “Women of Vision” award (2009).
