After Constangy improved its year-over-year ranking in the 2023 National Law Journal (NLJ) 500 ranking of U.S. firms based on headcount, Neil Wasser was quoted in the Daily Report on July 24, 2023 discussing the firm’s strategic growth in 2022 and continued recruiting success in 2023.
This year’s NLJ 500 survey accounted for attorneys added in 2022, when Wasser said the firm saw noteworthy growth in the Northeast after opening an office in northern New Jersey. “This strategic move led to the highest number of legal professionals added to our roster in 2022,” Wasser said. The firm also continued growth in Los Angeles as California continues to be a hotbed for employment-related litigation. Wasser said that client demand and “the opportunity to have exceptional lawyers join our firm” drives its growth.
While not reflected in this year’s NLJ 500 data, Constangy has also made significant additions to its roster in the first half 2023, particularly with the growing Constangy Cyber team. “In 2023, we have already had 50 attorneys join our firm, including 41 attorneys with a focus in cybersecurity and data privacy,” Wasser said.
