The Vault.com diversity rankings are based on each firm’s associates’ rankings of how the firm does at creating, maintaining, and fostering a diverse workforce. The rankings include separate categories for racial and ethnic diversity, as well as diversity as it relates to women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities. To determine the Overall Best Law Firms for Diversity, Vault.com uses a formula that weighs the four categories evenly for an overall diversity ranking. Vault's 2023 Rankings are derived from Vault's Annual Associate Survey conducted from March 2022 through May 2022.
