As reported in Law360, Constangy has recruited a former Foley Hoag attorney who has 20 years of experience helping companies of all sizes across various industries secure visas for international workers.
Punam Rogers, who recently joined the firm's Boston office, told Law360 that she was drawn to the firm's robust immigration practice where she aims to offer her clients more flexible fee arrangements.
"Over the course of the last decade, I have seen the pressure from my clients to have more fixed fee arrangements and better rates," Rogers said.
Rogers assists companies in fields including technology, retail and finance with determining what visas they needed for their international employees to work in the U.S.
Rogers said part of her immigration practice involved ensuring her clients were in compliance with visa requirements for government audits, site visits and investigations. For companies with which Rogers hadn't been involved during the initial visa phase, she said she would conduct audits to determine if they needed compliance advice.
"In a global, mobile world, many companies are recruiting all over the world to attract the best and brightest," she said.
