David Middleton

David defends employers in a wide range of litigation matters, including employment-related disputes, wage and hour claims, and FEHA matters, as well as in administrative hearings, arbitration, and state and federal courts.

David also counsels employers in making strategic business decisions, such as formulating workplace policies, commission plans, reductions in force, employee discipline, and more. He also conducts workplace investigations when complaints arise.

Prior to joining Constangy, David served private and public sector employers as an attorney with a statewide California law firm.

Outside of his legal practice, David is actively involved in his community, serving on the board of the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation and the Metropolitan Area Advisory Committee. He is also a board member of the San Diego County Football Officials Association. When he is not working or serving on a board, David officiates Division 1 NCAA Football.
