Overview
Paul is a partner in the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group. He focuses his practice on the design, administration and termination of tax-qualified plans and trusts; analysis of benefit issues and liabilities in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions; welfare benefit plan and flexible benefit plan implementation, administration and documentation; COBRA; HIPAA; non-qualified deferred compensation plan drafting and compliance; multiemployer plan withdrawal liability and arbitration; and representation of plans and employers before the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor, both in connection with employee benefit plan audits and regulatory relief programs. He has spoken on numerous occasions about various issues dealing with ERISA compliance.
