Constangy partner Damon Kitchen will present at the 14th Annual Virtual Employment Law Seminar on June 26th. This free event, hosted by the City of Gainesville Office of Equity and Inclusion and the Alachua County Office of Equal Opportunity, will take place virtually from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Damon will lead a session on recent developments in employment law. Other topics will include social media best practices and determining success in the workplace. The seminar is targeted at private and public employers and employees and attendees are eligible to earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.

Damon is the managing partner of Constangy's Jacksonville office and an experienced litigator who focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. He has successfully defended cases involving unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliatory discharge, wage and hour violations, and constitutional claims. Damon also has a proven track record in defending defamation, invasion of privacy, negligent hiring, emotional distress, fraud, and breach of contract claims. His expertise extends to traditional labor law, where he has defended unfair labor practice charges, handled grievance arbitrations, opposed union organizing campaigns, and served as chief negotiator in collective bargaining. Damon regularly assists employers with problem prevention and complex legal analysis. He is also a frequent presenter on issues pertaining to labor and employment.
