National labor and employment law firm Constangy, Brooks, Smith and Prophete, LLP is pleased to announce Ben Widener has joined the firm as a partner, working jointly in the Princeton, New Jersey, and Philadelphia offices. Widener joins Constangy from Stark & Stark, where he was a partner and chairman of the Employment Law Group.
“We’re delighted to welcome Ben to the firm,” said Neil Wasser, chair of Constangy’s executive committee. “His depth of experience is a great value add for our clients and complements the firm’s rapidly expanding team of attorneys working collaboratively in our New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania offices, as well as extending the firm’s services to Ohio.”
Widener has nearly two decades of experience in labor and employment law and concentrates his practice in all aspects of labor management and employee relations. This includes but is not limited to HR consulting (from onboarding to termination and everything in between), representing clients in litigation and agency proceedings, conducting workplace investigations, and helping his clients protect their intellectual property and trade secrets. Widener has extensive experience across many sectors such as healthcare, pharma, banking, financial services, and the investment advisory industry. He is known as a problem solver, trusted advisor, risk manager, and business partner to his clients. Knowing there is no one-size-fits-all approach to practicing law, Widener customizes his approach to appropriately meet client’s needs.
“Constangy’s culture and national reach were two of the many things that drew me to the firm,” said Widener. “The emphasis on teamwork and collaboration across all offices, and the breadth of dedicated resources across the firm, is important for clients, and I look forward to continuing to help my clients with their varied, nuanced legal issues.”
