Starting 2025 off on a high note, Constangy is delighted to announce three standout attorneys—Jeff Fields, Kelsey Link, and Arcelia Magaña—have been promoted to the role of senior counsel. Effective  Jan. 1, 2025, this promotion highlights their exceptional dedication to clients and significant contributions to the firm.

Jeff Fields

Working out of Constangy’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices, Jeff is your go-to for tackling messy employment disputes. Whether it’s a claim of wrongful termination, allegations of workplace harassment, or navigating complicated wage and hour class actions, Jeff’s legal toolkit has got it covered.

He’s not just a lawyer who handles cases—he’s a strategist. With experience in both single-plaintiff lawsuits and larger, multi-layered cases involving hundreds (sometimes thousands) of employees, Jeff knows how to find the best way forward.

Jeff’s path to success started with earning his law degree at Loyola Law School Los Angeles, where he honed his courtroom skills working for the California Court of Appeal and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. His reputation for excellence has landed him on The Best Lawyers in America® “Ones to Watch” list for Labor and Employment Law - Management every year since 2022.

He also earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California, graduating cum laude.

Kelsey Link

If you’re dealing with a wage and hour class action in California, chances are Kelsey knows all about it. Based in Los Angeles, Kelsey has built her career focusing on the nuances of PAGA cases (the Private Attorneys General Act) and other employment litigation issues like discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Kelsey’s ability to handle the toughest cases is rooted in her academic background. She earned her law degree from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College. Before joining Constangy, she sharpened her legal skills at a national law firm, giving her a strong foundation to advise clients on tricky compliance issues.

Her work hasn’t gone unnoticed—Kelsey is recognized on The Best Lawyers in America® “Ones to Watch” list for Labor and Employment Law - Management in both 2024 and 2025.

Arcelia Magaña

Arcelia, based in Constangy’s San Diego office, is the definition of a versatile litigator. From defending massive wage and hour class actions to advising employers during sensitive investigations by the CRD or EEOC, Arcelia has made a name for herself in labor and employment law.

What sets her apart? Her ability to see the big picture. Having started her career representing plaintiffs, Arcelia understands how to anticipate and counter opposing strategies. She’s especially passionate about defending employers in the hospitality industry, among others.

Arcelia’s accolades read like a highlight reel of legal excellence:

Her journey started at the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned her undergraduate degree, before earning her J.D. at California Western School of Law. Her legal passion doesn’t stop when the workday ends—her years of pro bono service earned her recognition like the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Service and the Outstanding Service Award from the Legal Aid Society of San Diego.
