A skilled litigator based in Constangy’s Austin office, Katherine Serrano brings extensive experience representing employers in complex employment litigation matters. She focuses on wage and hour class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and related state laws, handling cases in federal and state courts. Katherine has successfully guided clients through all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, arbitration, mediation, and settlement approvals. Katherine earned her J.D. from the Southern Methodist University, Dedham School of Law. She also holds a B.A. from Texas A&M University. Katherine has earned recognition as a Texas Super Lawyers® Rising Star (2024) and was named one of The National Trial Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” - Civil Plaintiff (2023).
Eric Witt, Senior Counsel in Constangy’s Los Angeles office, offers extensive experience in employment litigation and compliance counseling. He regularly advises employers on complex workplace matters, including personnel issues and compliance with California and federal employment laws. Eric’s litigation practice encompasses a broad range of employment disputes, including defending employers in wage and hour class actions and claims under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). He is also experienced in single-plaintiff cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and disability accommodation claims. A seasoned trial attorney, Eric has achieved multiple jury verdicts in favor of employers and secured numerous summary judgments, eliminating liability for clients. Eric earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and holds a B.A. from Washington and Lee University, where he graduated magna cum laude and with honors.
Rob Yang joins Constangy’s Cyber Team in the San Francisco office, bringing several years of experience in data privacy and cybersecurity litigation. He defends clients in class actions arising from data privacy and security incidents, including cases involving alleged violations of the Wiretap Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA). Rob also advises clients on risk mitigation strategies related to data privacy regulations, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). His experience extends to responding to data security incidents, managing forensic investigations, and facilitating regulatory compliance and notification projects. In addition to his legal expertise, Rob holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Rob is also recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch in Labor and Employment (2024-2025) and a California Super Lawyers® Rising Star (2021-2024).
