WiPL is an annual conference focused on igniting conversations and creating networking and mentorship opportunities for female in-house and outside counsel. Cara will join a panel on September 23rd at 11:45 am entitled, "The Harvard Decision & Beyond: Upholding the Importance of DEI Initiatives." This insightful presentation will discuss the implications of the Supreme Court's Harvard ruling on DEI programs, recent legal actions and pitfalls, and best practices for compliance.

Cara is a partner, head of Constangy's Columbia office, and chair of the firm's Affirmative Action/OFCCP Compliance and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practice groups. She advises employers on litigation avoidance and defends them in a wide range of employment-related cases, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She also assists federal contractors with affirmative action compliance under Executive Order 11246, Section 503, and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act, preparing plans and reports and defending evaluations. Cara conducts privileged compensation and pay equity analyses, frequently speaks on these topics, and provides training to companies. Prior to joining Constangy, she served as an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Administrative Law Judges.
