Constangy senior counsel and Cyber Team member Amanda Novak has been named to Minnesota Lawyer's list of Up & Coming Attorneys for 2024. This annual list highlights new attorneys who are already making a name for themselves in the legal community.

Amanda works out of Constangy's Minneapolis office and is a member of the prestigious Constangy Cyber Team. She focuses her practice on breach response and security and privacy compliance. Amanda holds certifications in U.S. and European privacy law (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) and is an Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She advises clients on security incident response, coordinating digital forensics, and ensuring compliance with data breach notification statutes across various jurisdictions. She also advises on compliance with the GDPR, CPPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and other data security and privacy laws and regulations.

While in law school, Amanda was an editor of the Minnesota Law Review, focusing on artificial intelligence and law. She continues to publish articles on international law, emerging technologies, and security. Dedicated to her community, Amanda offers pro bono legal services to asylum seekers and has actively contributed to human rights advocacy and international humanitarian law. As a volunteer instructor for the American Red Cross, she provides training on the laws of armed conflict. Amanda also serves on the boards of World Without Genocide and The Raptor Center, where she supports human rights and wildlife rehabilitation initiatives.
